Northern Gulf's Chair John Brisbin, shared heartfelt words with members, staff and fellow directors, as he handed over the reins of the organisation to well-deserving and long-standing board member Riki Gunn, at the recent AGM held in Mount Molloy.

"I have big shoes to fill," said Riki, as she accepted the members endorsement to Chair the Board of Directors for the next two years.

It was not only John's significant presence as a person but his enormous passion and commitment to growing an environmental economy that will support livelihoods and a multi-generational culture in the North, that has seen him set some high bars within the NRM space.

Riki has been involved with Northern Gulf right from its formation back in the late nineties.

“With nearly 20 years of working with Northern Gulf, I am really looking forward to my new role. I am especially looking forward to building on the long-standing relationship with the people of Etheridge Shire”

Over the past four years that John has served as Northern Gulf's Chair, Riki has been by his side and supported the board through some of its most turbulent times.

The Northern Gulf team are excited for what their future holds over the next four years and the positive changes moving into the future of the organisation and our region.
